5 Reasons to Use Math Stations During the First Week of School
The first week of school sets the tone for the entire year. While it's important to establish expectations and routines, it's also the perfect time to help your middle school students feel comfortable, build relationships, and get excited about math.
One of my favorite ways to accomplish all of those goals is by using math stations.
Instead of spending the first few days with only worksheets or lengthy lectures, students rotate through engaging activities that encourage movement, collaboration, and problem-solving.
